Nice to Meet You

Hi! I’m Mandy.

A devoted disciple of Jesus.
“Mama” to two adult daughters.
“Lovey” to one adorable grandbaby girl.

I met Jesus at the age of five. He has seen and known every struggle, wound, trauma and betrayal I have experienced over the course of my entire life.

He knows.
He. Knows.

Over the years, God has entrusted me with various gifts, many of which I used to serve in the Church: worship leader, creative, administrator, women’s ministry leader, parachurch ministry leader.

I loved serving. I loved the Church.

But in hindsight, something was missing.

A.W. Tozer said:

“It is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until he has hurt him deeply." God actually rises up storms of conflict in relationships at times in order to accomplish that deeper work in our character. We cannot love our enemies in our own strength. This is graduate-level grace. Are you willing to enter this school? Are you willing to take the test? If you pass, you can expect to be elevated to a new level in the Kingdom. For He brings us through these tests as preparation for greater use in the Kingdom. You must pass the test first.”

What was missing?

recognition of my own wounds.
An encounter with the triune God to heal me.
And the heart of empathy that comes only from knowing his comfort, then turning to comfort others with that same comfort - my own broken heart…bent to the broken heart of others.

In 2022, God disrupted my status-quo life as I knew it. Through tremendous suffering, He invited me to completely surrender—to let go of everything and everyone I was clinging to—and trust Him to rebuild, restore, and renew the ancient ruins that had been devastated for generations (Isaiah 61). I accepted his invitation because out of desperation I knew, “Where else would I go, LORD? Only you have the words of eternal life! (my paraphrase of John 6:68)”

GOD. My Father.
JESUS. My Savior, Shepherd, Deliverer, Redeemer.
HOLY SPIRIT. My Counselor, Encourager, Guide, Power.

We have been on a journey – and still are!

By God’s grace, guidance, and empowerment - and with a heart of empathy - I am now walking alongside women in crisis with the hopes of mentoring young women to help prevent crisis long before it starts.

The path for healing and hope is clearly laid out in Scripture.
It is walked out in daily life as we abide in Jesus — living in union with Him.

God has made it clear to me: tell the stories of my faithfulness in your life.

No strategy hat. No marketing plan.
Just vulnerability.
Authenticity.
A life that allows others see Him.

So here I am — dusting off my old eBlogger site that costs nothing.

There is no content calendar or blog topic list. Just a listening ear to what He says and obedience to write when He prompts.

It’s not fancy or visually impressive.
But impressive is not the goal.

Experiencing Jesus is the goal.

If you’ve read this far… welcome.
I’m glad you’re here.

Let’s make much of Him!
